After you are comfortable in the chair we will begin by placing a lip retractor and lip barrier. Next we will polish if needed to remove surface stains. After polishing we will place a light cured protective coat on your gums to isolate them from the whitening solution. We will then place the whitening solution. Most appointments take anywhere from an hour to an hour and a half. 

How do I know if I am a good candidate for whitening? 

Whitening has the best results on teeth that have had no facial (front side of the tooth) or total restorations. Dental materials such as composite resin, crowns, veneers, and implants do not respond to whitening. 

Will I be sensitive after my whitening session? 

Sensitivity is common after whitening treatments. We offer up to 3 sessions in one appointment. After each session we work with you to evaluate whether or not you may need an additional session. We strive to make your experience as comfortable as possible. Though we do our best to mitigate the chance of you experiencing sensitivity, everyone responds differently.  

How white will my teeth get?

Everyone's teeth respond a little differently. Depending on level of stain, age, enamel density, gum recession, frequency of whitening, etc... whitening results can vary from person to person. If you have a history of sensitivity we recommend that you consult with you Dentist before whitening. 

Do I need to consult with my Dentist before whitening?

YES. We strongly recommend that you consult with your Dentist before whitening your teeth. We also require you to have seen your dentist at least once in the last year. We stand behind the importance of regular dental visits. If you don't have a dentist we can refer you to our partnering dentist.

One of the few, born and raised in Arizona! Desiree makes people feel great/confident in themselves. In her past life she was a cosmetologist, and then moved on to the dental world. She went to dental assisting school, while furthering her career to become a Registered Dental Hygienist. Desiree has been working all around the valley as a traveling DH for 4 years now. She loves to learn from all aspects of health and dentistry. When Desiree isn't in the valley, you can find her up north soaking in nature!

Also a native, Alyssa grew up in Glendale, AZ. She was inspired by her grandmother (an RDH as well) and her passion for understanding health and wellness to become a Dental Hygienist. She worked as a traveling hygienist for years as well as in a private practice. When Alyssa met Desiree, they immediately began dreaming up business ideas. Making the leap from a steady job, to creating their own business, was intimidating but they knew it was the next step in their dental career.

After Care 

  • Drink plenty of water 
  • Brush very gently with white toothpaste for the first 48hrs
  • If needed, use Sensodyne rapid relief or toms rapid relief(fluoride free) as needed.
  • OTC pain reliever as needed

Do:

Don't:

  • Do not smoke or chew tobacco for at least 2 hours.
  • NO-dark colored food or drinks for at least 24 hours.ie: coffee, tea, soda, punch, red wine, berries, red sauce


Tips for Maintaining

  •  Use whitening togo tray 4 days after chair side whitening And then again in a week. (If you feel a zinger take the trays off and rinse with water.)
  • Ask about scheduling your next appointment!
